Politics and Governance

This course provides an overview of the fundamental concepts, theories, and institutions that shape political systems and international affairs. Students will explore the nature of political power, governance, ideologies, public policy, and the structures of government at the local, national, and global levels.

The international relations component examines the dynamics between states, the role of international organizations, diplomacy, global security, foreign policy, and international law. Major theoretical perspectives—including realism, liberalism, and constructivism—are used to analyze global issues such as war, peace, globalization, human rights, and environmental challenges.
